We invest in R&D to ensure Merret continues to meet the needs of UK, European and overseas retailers – particularly as the software extends its reach into North America and delivers benefits for US retailers. We typically provide revisions and upgrades every 12-18 months to ensure Merret keeps pace with the requirements of modern retail.

A recent development has seen Merret add advanced business intelligence capabilities. This came soon after improved reporting functionality including Appointment Diary and Department Stock reports.

In 2007, Retail Assist announced that Merret would rollout to the highly flexible and cost-effective Microsoft .NET platform in 2008, extending its reach to other retailers in addition to those using Merret on IBM System i.  Other add-ons for 2008 are Inward Tracking, Business Alert Creation/Monitoring and Additional Seasonality Levels.

These developments build on the earlier launch and integration within the solution of the MerretNet data and communications portal, home shopping functionality and B2B interfacing.
